For the past 2 days I have been…. Starting the journey of upgrading myself as a coach! Getting my International Coaching Federation (ICF) coaching certification. 2 full days of training, peer-to-peer coaching practice, and meeting amazing course-mates from various professions and wealth of life experience. I’ve fallen even deeper in love with coaching.
To study the content and frameworks and see how in already practicing most of it in my past 3 years of coaching is a huge encouragement to me. I’m so excited to be an even better coach to my current and future clients!
Coaching has changed my life COMPLETELY and I’m so excited to magnify my impact.
I started with a simple dream: to do work I love and make a living out of it. I created workshops, put it on eventbrite and chope-d (‘saved’ in Singlish) a room in my university to deliver the training.
I had many concerns: How will I make money from this? Will I worry my parents? Can I really do what I love? Am I being realistic?
I never imagined that I could actually create the life I have now — doing work I love, leading creative projects that fuel me, creating my own talkshow, seeing my clients lives change.
Coaching myself AND getting coached has transformed my relationships. My parents went from worrying about me and discouraging my dreams, to supporting me and affirming me in my work.
They’ve did crazy things like helping me do door to door flier distribution (in my previous business), inviting their friends to my product fairs even though they aren’t a fan of sales, to attending my talkshow.
During dinner just now, my mom told me that her colleague follows me on LinkedIn and listens to my podcast, and told her “wow, your daughter is so talented”
My relationship with my parents have deepened tremendously.
I designed my life to be able to travel with my parents, go on adventures with my sister, and this has allowed me to experience so much love and joy in my life.
The most powerful TRUTH I’ve observed in my life is that literally anything you dream IS possible as long as you’re willing to do what it takes to create it. It starts with the first step.
And this first step could be:
🦋 Identifying the fears stopping you
🦋 Putting yourself in a new environment
🦋 Seeking support instead of doing it all on your own
When you design your inner world, the outer world shifts in your favour.
Magic happens to those who have the courage to start, the faith to keep going, and the humility to ask for help.
2024 is in 3 days. Are you excited for it? Or are you dreading how it’s gonna feel the same?
The biggest breakthroughs in my life occur after a one degree shift in mindset, and I’m forever grateful for the coaches and mentors I’ve met, and the powerful stories I’ve had the honour to receive along this journey of life.
Think:
- What lights my heart up? What do I love doing, seeing and experiencing?
- How does living my dream look like for me in 2024?
- How can I use my current resources, network, and my voice to start living my dream in 2024?
- Are there any fears, doubts or insecurities that may be stopping me from pursuing this dream?
- What commitments will I make with myself to honour my dream?
You have everything you need in you to live the life you want. You may need a little help to define the dream or to reignite the desire, but you already have everything it takes.
I’ll love to hear your responses 🙂
